Correction – Hospice is for patients of any age with a prognosis of six months to live or less. Reasons for admission may include end-stage cancer, dementia, heart disease, lung disease, stroke or coma.
MISCONCEPTION – HOSPICE IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH CANCER.
